As we head into the exciting final stretch of the 2024-25 NBA season, fans can look forward to some pivotal matchups that will have a significant impact on the playoffs. These games feature top star players, intense conference rivalries, and plenty of drama. Don't miss out on these ten must-watch games, all available on NBA League Pass, to close out the thrilling season.

1. March 4: Bucks vs. Hawks (7:30 ET)

Milwaukee brings its veteran experience — boasting a combined 18 all-star appearances between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard — against an Atlanta squad looking to remain in playoff position. The Bucks, tied for No. 4, set out to secure home-court advantage in the first round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, while the Hawks sit in the middle of the Play-In field.

2. March 7: Spurs vs. Kings (10 ET)

De’Aaron Fox makes his highly anticipated return to Sacramento for the first time since being traded to San Antonio. The 2022-23 Kia NBA Clutch Player of the Year showcased his late-game heroics on Saturday, drilling a 20-foot game-winner to lift the Spurs over the Grizzlies.

The Kings, meanwhile, will have to adjust without All-Star big man Domantas Sabonis, who remains sidelined until at least March 9 with a hamstring injury. Sacramento finds itself in a razor-thin five-team race—separated by just 0.5 games—for the final guaranteed playoff spot.

Fox, averaging over 19 points and 6 assists per game since joining the Spurs, will put his former team to the test.

3. March 7: Timberwolves at Heat (8 ET)

The first meeting of the season between these two teams ended in a one-point thriller back in November, and both teams remain in tight postseason races. Heat guard Tyler Herro is enjoying a career-best year in points and assists, and looks to replicate his 26-point performance from that Nov. 10 game.

Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards — who is shooting over 40% from 3-point range and averaged 30.7 points in February — remains a threat for a scoring explosion in any matchup.

4. March 14: Mavericks vs. Rockets (8 ET)

Two Texas teams with contrasting approaches collide, as the Mavs’ aggressive offense meets the Rockets’ defensive-minded squad ranked No. 4 in DefRtg (105.4). With Amen Thompson emerging as a force on both ends of the court this season, Houston will aim to use its young star power against a fast-paced Dallas backcourt, led by Kyrie Irving, and keep pace in the Western Conference race.

5. March 15: Pacers vs. Bucks (8 ET)

Just four days after their TNT showdown, these Eastern Conference foes will meet again in another pivotal matchup. The Bucks hold the better conference record, but Indiana has a reputation for turning up the intensity late in the season. After all, it was the Pacers

who stunned Milwaukee in the first round of the 2024 playoffs, winning the series 4-2 despite being the lower seed.

With both teams neck and neck in the standings, a Bucks victory would secure the season series—and the all-important head-to-head tiebreaker.

6. March 23: Nuggets vs. Rockets (7 ET)

The 2023 NBA champs face an up-and-coming Houston squad that remains eager to prove itself. In the first matchup between these two teams, the Nuggets were without Nikola Jokić and the Rockets ran off with a 128-108 victory on the road. Jalen Green dropped 34 points in the matchup and will look to set the tempo again, this time at home against Denver’s disciplined attack.

7. April 2: Knicks vs. Cavaliers (7 ET)

In the first two matchups between these two teams this season, the Cavaliers got the best of the Knicks, but New York still has a chance to even the season series with two more games to go. The Cavs will look to keep their distance atop the Eastern standings. Both teams are packed with star power, but the consistent production from Cleveland’s De’Andre Hunter and Ty Jerome has become a great problem for its opponents.

8. April 10: Knicks vs. Pistons (7 ET)

The sixth-place Pistons entered the All-Star break above .500 for the first time since 2008-09, thanks to Cade Cunningham’s career season in points per game. Detroit is fighting for playoff positioning in this second half of the season, stacking up an eight-game winning streak for the first time in 17 years. The Knicks have already dropped two games to the Pistons this season.

9. April 11: Bucks vs. Pistons (7 ET)

Giannis and the Bucks continue their postseason push against a competitive Pistons squad capitalizing on the development of a young core and new coach

J.B. Bickerstaff

.

In their turnaround season, this matchup presents the Pistons an opportunity to snap an 11-game losing streak to the Bucks, dating back to April 2022.

10. April 13: Clippers vs. Warriors (3:30 ET)

A heavyweight Western Conference battle closes out the regular-season finale. Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and the Warriors’ perimeter attack face Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and the Clippers’ defensive intensity, with potential playoff positioning on the line.
